CHICAGO — Greetings from Chicago, home of the Chicago Cubs, the American version of the Hanshin Tigers — a second-city team that is always a bridesmaid but hardly ever a bride. Chicago has always been known as the #2 city of the United States, after New York, and its baseball teams have been known for failure — much like Osaka/Kobe and the Tigers. The Cubs also play in charming ivy-covered Wrigley Field, the most beautiful and revered ballpark in the U.S., much like the Koshien Stadium home of the Tigers.

Known as “Lovable Losers” the Cubs also have the most enthusiastic fans — located all over the U.S. — much like the Hanshin Tigers with their “torakichi” supporters.
