TOKYO — Talk of the biggest contract in MLB history has subsided somewhat in the wake of Shohei Ohtani’s second arm surgery earlier this week.
Ohtani and his agent are saying he will be ready to play as a DH from Opening Day next year and a starting pitcher from 2025.
But details are sketchy about the operation.
