MLB has a long history of presidential connections
CALIFORNIA — The year 2024 is a presidential election year. Donald Trump, the Republican Party nominee, and Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party nominee, are facing off against each other in a national vote to be decided to be decided on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
MLB and Presidential election years have a certain history you maybe surprised to know about.
The American League has won the World Series 17 times during election years, while the National League has won only 10. Not a good omen for Shohei Ohtani, who figures to lead the LA Dodgers to the National League pennant and a slot in the Fall Classic.
