CALIFORNIA — Attention will be focused next year on Ichiro Suzuki when the former Seattle Mariners outfielder will be listed, for the first time, on the ballot in 2025 for the Hall of Fame.
The question every one is asking is NOT whether Ichiro will be inducted into the Hall. That’s already a given. The question: Will he be elected on the first ballot and will it be unanimous?
Former New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera, elected in 2019, is the only unanimous Hall of Famer.
